Hiroko Matsuzaki will be presenting a lecture, “Mobility of the Memory: Colonial Memory and Taiwan Identity”, which aims to discuss how the colonial experience has influenced post-war Taiwan and how the representation of the colonial memory has changed by examining several literary works and films from the different generations and ethnicities.  Dr. Matsuzaki received her Ph.D in Chinese Language and Literature from University of Tokyo, Japan and is currently a recipient of the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research Abroad and a Research Scholar at Center for Taiwan Studies, UCSB.
