Office Hours: S15: T/TH, 11:00AM-12:00PM

My research is focused on observing the relationships fostered between the PRC and third world nations in Africa and Latin America during the Mao era. I’m interested in analyzing why the Chinese government pursued these relationships, how these new ties were pitched to the population at large, and how this foundation has shaped contemporary Chinese foreign relations.
