We love to have visitors here in the East Asian Languages department! Whether you're across town, across the country or even visiting from another country please think about stopping by the campus to see us. We are located in the Humanities and Social Sciencies Building on the second floor. (You can get directions from the gatehouse upon entering campus while you are getting your parking permit)

Making a decision on a graduate school is not an easy one and we encourage prospective students to drop by to see our department, meet of faculty and tour our campus. There is so much to do in the beautiful Santa Barbara area whether you come for the day or combine it with a vacation you will not regret the time invested in making the right decision.

Santa Barbara itself lies between Los Angeles and San Francisco, just off scenic Highway 101, city and county alike are amazingly rich in diverse surprises, pleasures, and attractions. The city has a rich Spanish heritage which can be seen in it's distinctive architecture, the cobbled pathways, red tile roofs, and mission-style adobes.

It offers a multitude of outdoor activities and adventures: golf, tennis, polo, horseback riding, cycling, hiking, and an impressive array of water sports. Top it off with some exceptional shopping in our outdoor malls and chic boutiques.
