BUDDHIST STUDIES
This specialization draws upon the offerings available both in EALCS and Religious Studies. The three required seminars must cover at least two different cultural regions. The student is also expected to do course work in one or more of the non-Buddhist religions, for example: Hinduism, Jainism, Daoism, Confucianism, or Shinto. This can be accomplished through additional seminars, directed reading, a field exam focus, and/or enrollment in upper division courses. The language requirements are the same as Religious History and Geography. |
