The talk features activists in China who are engaged in non-contentious social action at the juncture when social media has gone mainstream.   Prof. Wang will cite examples of social media activism staged on Weibo and address the question:  What happens to Chinese social media, now that Weibo has become depoliticized as a result of tightened censorship?
