Mini-Presentation
This
is a 5-6
minute presentation on an exported aspect of Asian culture.
It
will be given during class time. The presentation must have
the
following components:
1) General Information - What is your topic? What is its
significance in its home country?
2) History - When
did your topic
come into existence? How and when did it enter the United
States?
Has it changed over time, and if so, in what ways?
3) Important and Interesting Statistics - How popular is your topic in
the United States? How quickly has it grown?
4) Images - Please provide images to supplement the content of your
presentation. They can be on paper, posters, overhead, or
computer.
5) Describe the impact of your topic on global culture.
6) Significance for this class - How is your topic related to tourism?
Do any of the concepts covered in class apply to it?
You may use a printed outline to help you remember what to say during
the presentation.
When you do the research for your presentation, you must prepare a
bibliography that includes at least one article or book in addition to
websites.
