Mystical Asia Travel

Mini-Presentation

This is a 5-6 minute presentation on an exported aspect of Asian culture.  It will be given during class time.  The presentation must have the following components:

1) General Information - What is your topic?  What is its significance in its home country?
2) History -
When did your topic come into existence?  How and when did it enter the United States?  Has it changed over time, and if so, in what ways?
3) Important and Interesting Statistics - How popular is your topic in the United States?  How quickly has it grown?
4) Images - Please provide images to supplement the content of your presentation.  They can be on paper, posters, overhead, or computer.
5) Describe the impact of your topic on global culture.
6) Significance for this class - How is your topic related to tourism?  Do any of the concepts covered in class apply to it?

You may use a printed outline to help you remember what to say during the presentation.

When you do the research for your presentation, you must prepare a bibliography that includes at least one article or book in addition to websites.
