Tourism in East Asia

About the TA

Caitlin Healy Caitlin Healy was the TA for Tourism in East Asia during Fall 2006.  At that time, she was a second-year student in the EACLS M.A. program, focusing on contemporary Chinese culture - particularly piracy and censorship issues, along with popular literature, film, and music.  During the last few years, she received a B.A. in Philosophy (philosophy of mind and existentialism) and Psychology from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, taught undergraduate English courses at Hua Zhong Normal University in Wuhan, China, and studied Mandarin Chinese at Peking University.  She has traveled to many places in China, and can contribute long-winded anecdotes about many of the travel destinations examined in this course.
